Wiiche'iwaymagon  Alliance is dedicated to improving the lives of those in need in rural, remote and northern First Nation and Inuit communities. Our mission is to provide a hand up, not a hand out to develop food sovereignty and food security options in our member communities throughout Northern Manitoba and Northern Ontario.  As can be seen in our Statement, we are anxious to engage with our cousins in the north and with all interested Nations.

The Wiiche'iwaymagon Alliance is a true partnership between First Nations Organizations and Tribal Councils and Canada's food bank network. We work together for the benefit of member communities through a Treaty which requires us to enhance the efforts of every ally to ensure that no one goes hungry, no matter who they are or where they live.

A truly First Nation organization, the Wiiche'iwaymagon Buying Alliance combines the structure of a not-for-profit corporation with the inclusiveness of a Cooperative, all owned and directed by Wiiche'iymagon Alliance members. Tasked with  developing innovative approaches and negotiating with companies to find the lowest prices for food, harvesting equipment and delivery services for our member communities and partners, the Buying Alliance must distribute its profits back to member communities to continue to develop food sovereignty in accordance with our traditions.

Currently the 48 communities represented by our First Nation Alliance partners are automatically qualified for membership in the Wiiche'waymagon Alliance.  This means each community can benefit now by contacting their Harvesters Support Grant representative.
